At last night’s meeting, our club had the pleasure of hearing from two inspiring young leaders—Miranda and Noel—who recently returned from their week at RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp. Their stories were filled with energy, insight, and the kind of personal growth that only comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.
Throughout the week, Miranda and Noel embraced every challenge RYLA had to offer. From team-building exercises to leadership workshops, they leaned into discomfort, made new friends, and discovered more about themselves and their potential. Both spoke candidly about how the experience helped them build confidence, develop communication skills, and see leadership through a new lens.
Their reflections reminded us why RYLA is such a powerful program—not just for cultivating future leaders, but for fostering empathy, resilience, and connection. As they enter their senior year, we’re confident Miranda and Noel will carry these lessons forward, continuing to grow and inspire those around them.
We wish them great success in their final year of high school and beyond. The future is brighter with leaders like these on the rise.
