You are helping the Albuquerque Metro Rotary Club bring awareness to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. It is our hope that each sunflower garden will encourage others to contribute and “plant” one of their own. The Rotary Foundation created an official channel for donors around the world to contribute funds to support the relief efforts underway by Rotary districts and has designated its Disaster Relief Fund as the main avenue for contributions. Now through 30 June 2022, the Disaster Relief Fund is providing relief to refugees or other victims of the crisis including items such as water, food, shelter, medicine and clothing.
Your $30.00 donation includes 25-30 sunflower stakes being “planted” in your yard for about twenty-four hours when they will be gathered and “planted” in another garden. If you would simply like to show your support and “plant” some sunflowers in your yard, or pay it forward to a friend, all we ask is a small donation to our group. Of course, the removal of these sunflowers will be done at no charge, so please don’t hurt a petal on our sunny flowers.
